32 oz growler purchased from the brewery. Opened 1 week later.
Essentially, a filtered version of their Double Platinum Blonde (Weizenbock). Pours deep gold in color with good clarity. Large creamy white head with great retention. Patchy lacing on the glass.
Very rich, bready malt aroma with loads of fruit and spice. Soft and clean flavor, with the spice coming out a little bit more. Nice depth of malt and yeast flavors here. Medium-full bodied with a creamy feel to it.
Very enjoyable and unique beer. The fruit and spice are strong but restrained enough that they are not cloying and do not overpower the beer, like some other weizenbocks I have had. A rare treat from the brewery.
