Deep brown color but light does pass along the edge. Plentiful wide streaks after each sip. Small head initially.
Creamy, caramel aroma. Sweet, but not overly so.
Think salted caramel with lots of semisweet chocolate and you’ll get a sense of this beer. Rich body for the style. The carbonation leans to the low side. The swallow has some alcohol warmth but it doesn’t linger into the aftertaste. The finish is perhaps closer to a brown ale. Overall, this blend works well. It’s not as strong as most Stouts but it holds its own.
