Good West Coast style AIPA. Had a pint at the Don Luis restaurant with pizza. Surprised that the IPA had a lower ABV. than the Monteverde APA. Poured a clear amber color with good head retention and lacing. More piney bitterness than the APA. Mouthfeel was criso and bitter. Went well with the pizza.

Bought and consumed in Monteverde, Costa Rica. This was a nice fresh IPA, and a good find up in the mountains. I wasn't expecting to find much craft beer up here, but Monteverde did the trick. This has a moderate amount of happiness to it. Approachable for sure, and an easy drink for a hot day. Very balanced for an IPA. Finishes with a light dryness that invites more. I think their APA is a bit better, but this is worth a look too.
