Bought and consumed in Monteverde, Costa Rica. This was my least favorite of the Monteverde offerings. It is also probably the most approachable. Though I m not usually a fan of blonde ales, this one had a nice hoppy aroma that was more inviting that the usual uninteresting fare I usually associate with this style. A bit thin throughout with little in the way of any pronounced hop or malt profile, which may be the point. The upside is that there is not a bad flavor. I can certainly see this being a popular choice in Costa Rica on a hot day. It would be probably be the most popular offering also, being more along the lines of the local popular beers. However, it is much smoother and drinkable than those. Worth a shot, but I won't be seeking this out again.
