Pours a light chill hazed copper color thin off white head very light lacing.

Aroma toasted malts, light caramel malts, floral hints.

Taste light crisp hints of lightly toasted caramel malts, little spice kick in the finish from the hops. Easy drinking favorable enough could see this being slammed during Sturgis for sure.

Mouthfeel is lighter side medium carbonation. light and crisp.

Overall an easy drinking red with enough flavor for us but light enough for blue moon peps.

Picked this up not too long ago at the Badlands Saloon and Grill in Wall, South Dakota as this was available via a single can. Never been to the rally in Sturgis but it was nice to see something from there that had the spirit of it, as this was a fun and freewheeling American Amber/Red Ale that was quite easy to drink.

This had the look and appearance that I expected there was a nice radiance to this beer to go along with it's mild translucence. Enough head topped this off although there wasn't any lacing left behind, as the body to this was quite thin. The malt leaned more towards crystal than caramel with a bit of peat thrown in there for good measure. A bit of exotic fruit was in the nose as the taste remained in line with that, without a lot of hops in it. A mild body and carbonation kept this fun and easygoing, although this wasn't particular memorable in any aspect.

Not a lot of alcohol here as it would have been easy to have another of these in a sitting. No date on the bottom of the can either, although this held up throughout my time away from home. This was a textbook example of the style that was accessible but needed more going for it in the end. Worth a go once, even if you never go the rally in August!
