North Water's driveaway entrance is a bit precarious, being in the middle of a road that combines a clunky intersection with a fairly sharp curve, so it can be a little cluttered and difficult to turn left into here when coming in from the main drag. That having been said, after parking in the dirt and gravel lot and walking all the way around to the front, my sense of scale for this place seemed a little skewed for what it turned out to be.
Sure, once you walk past the bar, they have quite the sizeable seating area in the back, but the bar itself is fairly small and intimate. It's a concrete L-shaped bar that in a strange way even makes you feel cramped for the bartender. I get the feeling it's popular to come here during the summer and sit on the patio, or else maybe come with larger groups or host events by the tanks, but the bar just seems like an afterthought. That it was a bit of a chilly, rainy day out, and the garage door was fully open, made it seem all the more uncomfortable.
The taplist was also a little challenged, with maybe 8 handles split mainly between hops and fruity drinks flowing. The hops weren't quite up to the expectations that some of my friends had set, so overall I was not super impressed with my visit. I'll try to give them another shot in the warmer months.

I've returned in the summer of 2025 for Kent Blues Fest, and the band effectively used the picnic table space by the tanks without sacrificing any seats. Beer also seemed a little more on point, particularly the ESB, while the Good Day Oven pizza window was quite the tasty bonus.
