Folk Magic is an IPA made with honey from Backwoods Bee Farm. Folk Magic has aromas of grape candies, papaya, and some stone fruit with floral and woodsy undercurrents. The flavor starts with loads of melon and tropical fruit that ends with a resinous hop character and a touch of nuttiness from the addition of spelt.

Belleflower Brewing
IPA - New England / Hazy
Spelt is a nice addition, adding a dry spice.
Citrus spice, slight bitter, earthy bite and plenty of hop flavor variety. Smooth and rich in flavor.

Seems more like a NEIPA to me without the "dankness", but AIPA works too!!! Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features a very pale yellow hazy body and a big frothy white head with somewhat better than average retention and lots of wide bands of lacing on the glass. Two sages of flavor: first somewhat sweet tropical fruit up front, enhanced by the honey. This is followed by more traditional NEIPA grapefruit and mild bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is light, refreshing with a transition between sweetness and citrusy bitterness. Goes down very easy. A good beer.

Well, they have the pale yellow color locked in - another pretty looking beer. Head collapes, but there's a lot of cling to the glass.
The smell...ummm...I get a weird whiff of grape Jolly Rancher candy then a mix of tropical and citrus fruitiness, a little apricot, floral and earthy. It's a very nice, inviting drink me smell.
The taste opens with...melon? Where'd that come from? Pretty assertive, too. OK... that surprise rolls into a mixture of tropical and citrus. I'm leaning papaya for no other reason than it isn't mango. Grapefruit citrus. This gets topped off by a resinous and earthy hop hit with floral aromatics. Underneath it all, there's some bready malty goodness. I assume the spelt contributes something, but not sure I'd know what it is. A little honey on the finish.
Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Moderately carbonated. A little, subdued bitter that reminds me of grapefruit.
Overall, a very nice, tasty, well-executed beverage here. The flavors hit me just right, it's light, refreshing, and very clean.

A really nice summery, fruity hazy IPA.
Appearance is very hazy, a bright yellow, different from most hazy IPAs.
Smell is citrus, lemon, grapefruit.
Feel is effervescent, tingly, feels more carbonated than it looks.
Taste follows the smell but adds orange peel. It’s almost like a cross between a dry hopped hazy NEIPA and a Belgian white style. No bitterness with this one.
It’s different and very nice on a warm summer day.

Small brewery with big tastes in beers. This one is great. Check it out when you see it.

Great in all respects but the taste had something that didn’t agree with me - it was either the honey or the spelt, I’m suspecting the spelt as it had a much more bitter cardboardy taste to it. Glad I only got a single of this particular Belleflower as I really like most of the other beers of theirs I’ve tried.
