my first from these guys, never even heard of them before this one, but what a great first impression, incredibly tidy for a hazy, light for one too, real delicate, simple, refined, and drinkable, and its a gorgeous and fresh expression of strata hops, just in a bit of a softer voice than the ipa types they seem to find themselves in more commonly, i really dug this pint. slightly frosted yellow look to it, minimal but backlit and bright, with a creamy bone white head with good retention and pretty lace in the wake of each pull. the nose and taste brim with the good parts of strata, none of the bad parts, no green onion, no body lotion, no bite, its bold without being overdosed, must be due in part to the cryo strata they use, high intensity but also high purity to me, lovely! they really get a lot out of the hop, clean lemon, white tea, honeysuckle, radiant freshness and slight oily slickness on the feel. the grain is real light, dry, and fresh too, which is cool, and its hazy without being heavy, i cant believe how light and dry this is, effervescent as well, it just dances and sings on the palate, and for a single hop beer, this is anything but one dimensional. impressive mostly from a quality standpoint, professional and invisible ferment, true strata expression, no frills, no pretension, just good beer. i will have to drink more from these guys when i am back east next, an exciting pale ale, such a rarity these days! drinkable as they come, juicy but not forced, yum!
