White Stout

A thick white head greets me, upon pouring out of the can before settling down to a wispy thin patchwork of foam over top of the dark golden colored brew, which has hues of red in the background. There appears to be a gentle carbonation about it, with many small columns of fizz rising to the top and the lacing is modest, with a semi sticky layer of foam clinging to the inside of the glass.

S- Soft, creamy coffee is the initial aroma found, with vanilla and white chocolate undertones noted. There are also some crystal and caramel sweet malt tones overcome and provide some backbone to some traditional char or toasted dark chocolate/nuttiness, with the finish being brown sugar sweet yet clean, bringing me to the taste....

T- The flavors follow suit to the aromas, with soft creamy double double coffee about it with a fairly heavy vanilla bean presence....very smooth and rich, just like an Italian creamed coffee.....there just isn't much else to say about this but its just a nice tasting brew....a light stout if you will!

M/O- I'd put this at a medium body and with the carbonation being as smooth as it is, this is simply an easy drinking, well balanced white stout that is easily my go to when hitting up Travois Brewery. The alcohol is well hidden, and anyone who gets to enjoy this, I encourage to try this on site, and on tap...simply amazing!
