Inspired by the steins served in Munich's Oktoberfest tents, this robust lager celebrates our love of German Beer. We use specialty German malt, hops from the Hallertau region combined with traditional German yeast.

A- This pours a slightly chill hazed golden color that shows background hues of orange, yellow and bronze. The head is there, but not in a super impressive way, being about a half finger in thickness initially before quickly settling down to a white colored layer that settles over top the liquid. The carbonation appears to be fine, aggressive and pluming in many columns while the lacing is pretty much non existent, with any sort of protein swiftly slides right back into the brew, leaving only behind a watery layer around the inside of my beer glass. Overall an average looking Helles style lager but that isn't always what makes the beer!

S- This is rather mild overall, with some biscuity notes, muted, but stronger caramel/toffee sweet malt aromas and grainy goodness leading the way. There is a slight damp Earthiness that reminds me of freshly harvested barley malt grain. The finish is just of a quiet hop bitterness that doesn't linger and still seems somewhat sweet....

T- Ahhhh, this is a very nice tasting beer! There is a strong blend of sweet caramel/toffee/blackstrap molasses on the malt profile, some smooth alcohol, creamy biscuit/cracker, creamy yeast and a finish that is slightly bitter at the back of the palate, yet the sweetness lingers on the palate waiting for the next taste. The hop profile is mild and leafy.....overall this is an easy flavor to handle and it is quite inviting!

M/O- The mouthfeel is creamy, with smooth carbonation and at the same time it is plentiful. The body, while creamy, is light/medium and the drinkability factor is rather high with this one. While there is some alcoholic notes on in the flavor, it is generally well hidden and I don't think impairs anything overall. Would pair well with any sort of pub food, as the sweetness of the malt would go with a red meat or saucy dish. I quite enjoy this one and hope that it is produced yearly going forward!
