Tasted from a 12 oz can bought in Northwest Florida.
L - Straw-colored beer is completely opaque from white cloudiness, Frothy head is brilliant white and leaves tons of lacing on the glass. This appearance is right on style.
S - The aroma is disappointingly faint for a NEIPA. I get just a little warm malt, with grapefruit and mango at an even lower threshold. There is nothing out of place in the aromas, but they are not the exciting, dank, fruit bomb characteristics expected for the style.
T - Similar to the aromas, I found the flavors to be disappointingly faint. Tropical fruit and light toast are both present and appropriate, but they don't "pop" here.
F - Thick body and creamy carbonation are appropriate for style. Hops bitterness is medium at most. Not much alcohol presence.
O - This is a good beer that is enjoyable with no faults and hits all the right high points for the NEIPA style. I'm rating it only about average because the flavors and aromas are muted and conservative compared to the best examples. If the brewer just found a way to make the fruit flavors/aromas pop and assert some more, it would be an excellent beer.
