A shiny dark golden appearance with a medium sized white head and lots of lively carbonation.

The smell is built from malt mainly and is sweet in the typical Maibock fashion. Besides the sweetness, it's a spicy nose with a soft grainy touch and a very delicate trace of hops and a clear whiff of alcohol.

A thick and rounded body corresponds with a heavy dose of sweet malt and many spicy notes. Malt is somewhat dry and rather grainy too. Hops are -- a bit hesitantly -- present in the finish. A strong burn from the alcohol remains.

Medium carbonation and a slick, oily mouthfeel.

A good and clean-tasting beer with plenty of spring-time vitality, in spite of its somewhat massive proportion of malt.
