stopped in here for a few pints on a recent vegas trip for the first time, never had a beer from them before, neat place, but the beers we had were pretty middling, this was better than their pale ale, but still nowhere near the top of the heap of marzen types i had this season, listed at just 5% abv when we were in. a muted copper color to this, average just off white head from the tap there. aroma and flavor seem a touch tired, a little metallic, almost a chemical note here like the lagering was too warm and the yeast was stressed enough to produce a few undesirable elements, but its subtle and the malt still leads to my senses, nutty and less sweet than many, less rich and almost thin as a result, this is lighter to drink than it looks in the glass, mellow notes of toast, toffee, and dehydrated red apple, a little soapiness as it sits, untidy on the ferment anyway, which hurts this, makes it seem a little amateurish, a bummer. some cereal character to the grain, a papery aspect, less carbonation than it seems to want, light honey. all the elements are here but it just doesnt quite come together like it should, not way off, but some tweaks away from where it probably needs to be in this beer rich arts district area, doesnt seem competitive on quality. the space was cool here but the beer was unspectacular to put it kindly...

Another beer I first had almost a year ago (October 2022) and despite that, I am the first one to add this beer to this Next Glass owned database (pwned lulz). I'm also the first one to review the beer after I added it, because that is what real heroes do.
Pours pretty, has that auburn ruby gleam to it. Makes a nice 1/2" off white head. Its a good looking beer. Aroma has the autumn leaves and malty unsweetened caramel and toffee notes.
The taste keeps things light, mild toffee, falling leaves, chill of an early fall vibes going. The carbonation is well done, keeps a malty beer feeling fresh and light. Has a mild mellow vibe throughout, alcohol nor bitterness is problematic. Good toasted light malt leafiness throughout.
I think oktoberfest aficianados will be content with this one. Not going to rock your socks off, but should be able to be shown respect. Imagine thinking your girl who works in a man camp is faithful while she works 168 hours a week with all those dudes.
