#1789 - Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- An understated opening considering the impressive wire-caged ceramic stopper. Pours a supremely elegant deep chestnut brown. Clear with a gentle 2mm fine-bubble pale tan cap. ps. 15mins later, holds well and forms lacing on the way down. - @4.5 this is one of the highest ever ratings I've given for Look, it has genuine star quality IMHO.
S- Quite gentle too, off into trad slightly malty/fruity ale.
T- Some bright, notably hoppy, toasty-fruity (dark raisons), roasted notes that come thick and fast. In the finish, remaining on my palate, some bright hops and deep roasty-fruity notes... in the end it just brings it all together in a well balanced way.
F- It has a bold trad feel, simply put, a deep pungent ale. Lovely for slow-sipping, all I need it a fireplace to sit by.
O- Absolutely lovely; just a shame it's so $$.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed!
750ml wire-cage+stoppered bottle BB: Jan-2026/Lot: 1871 (the lot# and BB at this brewery are written on the lable by hand!) £11.95 Bought from BeautifulBeers/BurySt.Edmunds as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
