500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.4%. Clear pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma of citrus, malts and toffee. Citric mouthfeel, light bodied. The flavour has notes of citric / grapefruity and earthy hops, decent bitterness. A nice summer refreshment, not my first choice for a cold day.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country.
L- Very pale straw, clear, with minor patch of bubbles and little rising CO2.
S- On the citrus spectrum, mild though, like watery grapefruit/lemon.
T- Dry, bright contemporary hop/citrus notes. Now it seems more lemon than having any of the perfume of grapefruit or other citrus, ie it's blunt, I've just found myself pondering whether given it's flavour if it might also be notably acidic.
F- I can imagine there might be instances such a style could be refreshing. All involve, tropical type heat, many hours of hard labour or sport, and similar extremes of thirst-making circumstances. - Sitting behind a desk in spring-time London isn't amongst them.
O- I'm the wrong demographic for this beer. It's styled for hipsters who seem to favour aggressively dry/citrus hopped beers. I wouldn't wish to drink this again.
Do note however I am conscious that I am the first to review this beer. This just happens to be a sub-style I don't really get on well with. Ie. I'm sure others will have entirely different experiences than mine.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> 'A bitter sweet symphony of flavour that packs a citrus punch'. I got the bitter in spades, just no sweet whatsoever. 'Legacy is our refreshingly vibrant blonde ale loved by *everyone* - *everytime*'. Hmmm really?
500ml bottle BB: Dec-21 £2.95 Bought from BeautifulBeers/BurySt.Edmunds as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
