So I came here to add the Anasazi Wheat but I guess because the brewery is closed, they don't want any more beers added to their database. F*** beer history! Since Sierra Blanca essentially absorbed this brand, I'll just add it there.
But I've also had a 6 pack of this beer too, and since there ain't no reviews, let's get down to contributing.
Poured a hair lighter than the average stout you see these days, but overall it was mostly brown and black, with a dense 1/2" brown head. Aroma was that acrid dry heavy roasted malt note.
Taste was like a hybrid Irish Dry Stout and American Stout. I remember my roommates in college digging on this. Stouts were hard to come by, we pounded Sierra Nevada and Bert Grant's, but this was a nice little addition along the same lines, just a big amount of roast at the time without getting all beat up by the alcohol like Bert Grant's would do (it was an imperial). They didn't really dial the carbonation down on this, and it was all good.
