On tap at the brewery early this evening.
Looks decent enough. Almost black body, good persistent tan head, rings of lacing.
Malty, coffee aroma with a faint fruit note.
On tasting, there is something odd going on here. There is a weird sherbert/seltzer fruit note. Roast is a bit heavier than I would like in a brown ale.
Mouth above medium, finish roasty and the fake fruit taste.
Overall, not a terrible drink, but hard to think of this as a brown ale.
