this place rules, and these guys are definitely on the cutting edge of the beer scene here in spain, some of the more modern and inventive beers we came across, and it all happens at this humble little space. in sort of an old warehouse looking building with a little front space built out into a taproom, unassuming from the street, and modest inside. clean and bright looking with the bar right there when you walk in, no seating there just some tasting, a couple of free samples right when we walked in, coolers lining the back wall with artsy cans, tons of hoppy stuff on their list, a few sours, some heavier offerings too in the cans, massive selection when draft and package is considered together. more of a tasting room than an actual bar, but you can get cans and post up, which is what we did. one community size table off to the left, to the right a lounge area with a couple of couches. white walls, minimal decor, some plants, sort of trendy feeling even though its not real busy or anything when we are in, we found a comfortable spot to sip ales and play some cards. the beer is great here, a coconut lime gose really stood out, but we enjoyed a stronger fruited hazy ipa, a tidy dry hopped pale, and an english bitter as well. it would be cool if they had more drafts, but all the cans and the ability to grab singles was cool too. i couldnt see any tanks or anything, must all be tucked away in the back, not sure how big these guys are, felt quite small from their public space, but the beer is big in the sense that its smart and well packaged and inventive and should have almost universal appeal. they must be on the map somehow too, as some other american beer nerds were there while we were, the word is out. the service was great here too, dude was duper helpful, excited about the beer, and kind to us. we liked everything about this place from the relaxed and clean look to the beer to the glassware to the low key nature of the place, its just a great place to have some beers. highly recommended!
