Built on a foundation of malt, honey ale is hoppy, layered with the lingering essence of wild honey.

Honey is one of the few resources locally available. We wanted to make the most of a very local ingredient, in a world-class beer. The honey for this traditional Ale has been sourced from the majestic Jim Corbett National Park. Goes to show the great lengths we go, to get you this perfect beer.

11.6(?!)oz bottle purchased at Rocket Market, on Spokane's South Hill, for somewhere between $3-4. Despite the ton of tiny lettered info on the label, there's no freshness date, just a batch # (HA008). I purchased this for no other reason than I'd never had a beer from Goa before.

Poured into a glass acquired earlier in the evening, it was a deep russet color, with a thin, bubbly, beige colored head that dropped almost instantly.

Big, massive, aroma of sweet honey and crude, earthy grain. No hop scent whatsoever. Smells like a big, malty adjunct bomb.

Big, malty adjunct bomb is what it tasted like as well, at least up front. Sweet honey flavor, earthy wheatiness, and then...kinda nothing, really. There's nobody home on the fadeaway.

Pretty watery mouth feel, unenlivened by much in the way of carbonation.

One of those beers that are interesting only on account of where they came from. Otherwise, an exercise in bland, watery sweetness. Avoid.

Pours caramel coloured with a smell white head on top, lots of visible bubbles. Sweet molasses type smell. The taste is quite sweet as well, definitely honey. There is no doubt they put actual honey into this beer. Even the aftertaste says honey.
