Kristianstad 22/10 2021. 50 cl bottle from Systembolaget Åhus, Vallgatan, Åhus. Simple white label with black letters and Smith Streets slightly confusing logo.
Pours clear maroon with a big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of toasted malts mingling with a nutty yet sugary scent. Caramel, toffee and biscuits. Hazelnut and brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a burnt undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Brown Ale with a sugary quality but also enough bitterness to avoid it from getting cloying.

Pours a clear dark ruby with thick, soft head.
Smell is malty and a bit floral with notes of caramel, citrus, rye bread, knäckebröd and hops.
Taste is malty and a bit sweet with some floral hints. Solid bitterness and notes of rye bread, caramel, knäckebröd and citrus, with some hints of dried fruit.
Mouhfeel is medium, smooth and well carbonated.
Overall, a superb brown ale, one of the best I've had.
