Cloudy orange color with a medium, white head. The aroma pops with citrus, passion fruit, and a punch of dank hops. The flavor follows through with the same notes — juicy, intense, and refreshing — backed by a decent, satisfying hop bitterness.

Dated 04/27/26 LIPS ARE POISONOUS, into a Hoof Hearted becher pint.

Pours a hazy light orange with good foam, very appealing. Aroma is orange and grapefruit juice, alongside some vegetal bitterness. A little dankness and citrus rind as well. Flavor is all orange and a little grapefruit juice with a predominant mango note, as well as a ton of vanilla and cream. This is really one of the most juicy beers I've ever drank; the dominant flavor is orange juice as well as grapefruit juice. It's not too sweet but there's zero bitterness, and I don't get any malt. It's very clean

Overall, top tier haze from Xul. Incredibly delicious stuff.

Canned on: 10-13-25

A - Opaque dark orange tan colored pour with medium frothy, creamy lacing.

S - Dank citrus, peach, sweet grapefruit, and passion fruit.

T - Big surprise this follows the nose. Lots of spicy fruit rind along with sweet red grapefruit, passion fruit, peach, and citrus while ending with a light citrus bitterness and a lingering spicy fruitiness on the palate.

M - Big chewy body that's pillowy soft and there's a slight bit of heat with this one.

O - Pretty solid!

A: Pours a milky murky pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + peach + apricot + pale golden yellow + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of finger thick film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of dank + juicy citrus/grapefruit + citrus/lime + tropical/passionfruit hops along with a hint of onion hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of dank + juicy citrus/grapefruit + citrus/lime + tropical/passionfruit hops along with a hint of onion hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers slightly leaving light lingering citrus + dank + passionfruit hop flavors.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a very pleasantly creamy soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with Citra hops being well highlighted - lots of citrus, tropical, and dank flavors + aromas with that little hint of onion.

4-week-old can poured into a tulip. Another 8% Xul hazy where the taste profile keeps up with an outstanding aroma profile (maybe even outshines it), a trend I've seen that differentiates Xul (positively) from many other hazy makers. Here I go back and forth trying to determine which I like more, and seemingly each can I have I reverse direction. Good problem to have!

Soft and fully-opaque body of orange-gold juice. Creamy though thin head but lots of attractive lacing. Attractive overall but a touch murky.

Abundance of fruit juice and dank, weedy, oniony greens on the nose, which is a combination (the solid green onion weediness balancing and providing nuance to the fresh squeezed juice) I love. Citrus and tropical heavy, which flows through to the tongue which has a solid sweetness (which I also love in big hazies) that is balanced wonderfully by some pithy citrus peal and the aforementioned weedy, oniony greens. Xul’s usual juicy sweet kick mid-palate. Some nice bitterness and dankness at the end. Maybe a touch of a green bite, as well, but the sweetness nullifies it pretty well. Outstanding, and probably my favorite of their 8%+ IIPAs to date.

Velvety soft and smooth with spot-on carbonation. Zero alcohol heat, but the slightest of a green bite at the very end of the swallow (as mentioned earlier).

Awesome.

Canned 11/2/21

L: Pours a dark hazy orange with a short creamy white head. Irregular and pretty lacing.

S: Tropical aroma with hints of mango, lemon, and pineapple.

T: Very smooth tropical fruit up front, with an equally smooth finish with just a touch of dryness without being bitter.

F: Medium to thin mouthfeel.

O: Very well done. An extremely smooth DIPA for the 8.4% ABV.

Double dry hopped double IPA but NE in style mostly. Caned 11/02 /21 so fresh had in July also on draught so going with year round on this one.

Pours a nice hazy lightly toasted golden color with a nice rocky off white head that lasts for long time, leaves some good sticky lace behind.

Aroma is very fruity lots of tropical with citrus bitterness underneath it all. Tropical passion fruits, honey dew hints of mango but with good underlying bitterness from grapefruit also maybe a sparse pine needle or two. got a lightly sweet mostly bready malt base.

Taste follows the nose big fruity treat tropical sweet goodness mingles with the malts nice chewy base that might have some oats or something in it seems nice and fuller then most 8% brews. Luckily for me its more the tropical fruity notes the finish has some old fashion citrus bitterness to keep an old hop head happy. It's not scrape you tongue west coast huge but its enough alpha grapefruit to let you know your drinking an IPA which some NE styles lack.

Mouthfeel is big medium approaching full, seems bigger then an 8% should be or might be just my mood tonight. Carbonation is middle of the road and suits the style well.

Overall been impressed by Xul in my opinion find there IPA's better and more interesting then Bearded Iris worth searching out to try at least in one hop heads opinion. Not to say Bearded Iris is bad but some many of them seem to taste too much alike to me.
