This is not at all what I expected. Thinking it would lean ultra sweet with the vanilla and marshmallow, it is an almost polar opposite. Macadamia nuts by nature are difficult to highlight as an adjunct, but the aroma hits you from a foot or two away. The flavor is a dominant nuttiness, with dark chocolate highlights in the middle, finished with a clean dry vanilla. The marshmallow appears to offer more of a mouthfeel role, thickening it to a nice sipping level. The barrel offers a bit of wood dryness, and a bit of spiciness, though I can’t quite form an opinion of the distiller. Another site says it is by Taconic. No ABV listed, but I’d hazard a guess in the 12% range.
