1 PINT can
Served in a nonic pint glass
This beer pours pale yellow and turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves nice lacing.
Dank aroma with some citrus notes
Dank flavor with some grapefruit
Medium to lighter bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Dank and refreshing. Easy drinking and less filling than a double IPA.

1.5-month-old can poured into a tulip glass.
Glowing yellow-gold body, fully opaque but not murky at all. Kind of light looking with a bit of a lemonade vibe, so definitely not as bright and alluring as some other Xul hazies. Nice fluffy white head that falls pretty quick. Solid soapy lacing down the walls of the glass.
Aroma profile is wonderful, full Nelson in all its glory. Dank, vineous greens matched by bright citrus and tropical fruits, with a steady wine grape note lurking throughout. A little peppery with a touch of pine. Slight Juicy Fruit gum note and a light breadiness. Really great nose. And man this thing is dank.
Taste falls a little short of the aroma, though it's still tasty and very drinkable. Tough for a 6.6% beer to keep up with the wonderful smells that dry-hopping provides. Here the issue isn't really boldness, but that the Nelson weighs pretty heavy on the tongue with the deep vineous dankness turned up pretty high. But I think this one dances along that tightrope because there's some balancing sweetness and pith and plenty of fruit notes. Ruby red grapefruit, berries, and grape notes, plus some tropical fruit, apricot, and a pleasant mineral note. Bit of a messy finish -- bitter, dank, and semi-sweet in equal parts -- but I find this thing surprisingly drinkable for everything that's going on.
Silky smooth and nicely coating, but not sticky or chewy at all. Perhaps a touch thin based on the look, but that's understandable given the lower ABV.
