On tap at Mortalis Brewing Company in Avon, NY.
This one pours a very dark looking black color, with a very small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like very sweet vanilla, and milk chocolate.
This is super fudgy, in a pleasant way, but the base stout is just too sweet to be able to handle the heavy handed infusion of vanilla this one has. There’s very little actual barrel character – I might not have immediately known it was barrel aged to begin with.
This is very thick, almost syrupy, with very little booziness.
This wasn’t entirely successful to my palate.
