The "strong". A dark, unfiltered strong beer with an unfathomable soul. Very rich. In the opinion of our master brewer, the best beer ever.

L- Dark chestnut brown, pours clear, 1cm pale tan foam lid. ps@ +10mins, recedes to perimeter ring, but that's good enough for a relative thumper% like this.
S- Deep and malty (and I'm congested today!)
T- Rich, glad I served this fridge cold. Deep rich malts plus a dry hoppy tang. The flavour seems to oscillate between the two on my palate. The pretty labelling omits features one would expect, the brewery address, bottle deposit information. You'd think it had been bought from the brewery shop...
F- The dry tang^ could also incoporate ABV% zing within it as well as hops. My bottle is marked 8.0%. Co2 in the mouth is quite low (no shock given the %) but given it's 'brightness' that isn't critical.
O- No doubt it's a hefty beer, a wintery slow-sipper for me. Nice enough to try though might like a bit more CO2 in the mouth
500ml bottle with toggle+stopper. Bought from Rehill's of Jesmond Newcastle. £4.10 BB: 29.10.25.
