I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst moving my oldest daughter to Pocatello for Physicians Assistant graduate school at Idaho State University. It looked, smelled, and tasted like a typical hefeweizen beer. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Crowler form brewery. Cloudy golden pour with small foamy white head. More of a wheat ale than a true hefeweizen. Bready aroma and taste, maybe a peek at some weizen yeast and its accompanying profile, but really just an average, unexciting wheat ale.

a decent glass of hefe here, classic and not much to it, pretty american as these go, which is not to say its hoppy but to say that its generic, somewhat incompletely understood, and executed to a check the boxes degree but without any real inspiration or wow factor. its a samey yeast run a bit warm for me, approaching phenolic, a little soapy, and unclean ad it warms, even plastic-esque at temperature, thankfully its slight and all in the finish and i drink this quick enough that by the time i get to this point there isnt a lot of beer left in my glass, the wheat tastes fresh, the carbonation is excellent, and the beer is on the dry side without being too fast. i get some green banana and even trace coconut esters, a hint of tropical brightness to it as well, sweet orange, a little bit of starch too giving body. overall its close, the fermentation needs to be dialed in some, but other than that they are on the right track here, and this works as a summery lighter drinker in here. neat spot, still new enough to be figuring it out, so some leniency here on the score, but i will be looking for more next time...
