I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst moving my oldest daughter to Pocatello for Physicians Assistant graduate school at Idaho State University. It looked, smelled, and tasted like a typical american golden ale beer. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Taster flight at Off The Rails. Light amber pour, clear, flat. Sweet, malty aroma, toffee. Taste is malty, caramel, sweet. More amber-ish than golden.
