Peconic County Brewing

According to NEWSDAY, Peconic County brewery in Riverhead, NY, was scheduled to close today. A "dispute with the landlord" was the immediate reason. The building management cited nonpayment of the lease. Other creditors were also mentioned. The business to me sounded very ambitious, with seating for 300 near the town center. Sounds like it was sized for a location near NYC Times Square.

Nice place located away from the crowds on Main Street, and more scenic along the riverwalk. Large taproom with seating outside as well as many tables. Service was solid with 10 draft options, plus a limited bottle that you could have to drink. Food options were plentiful and high end pub grub. I'd go back, as with many breweries in Riverhead, this place has the nicest taproom.

Newish looking brewpub in mixed use building down by the river. Large, open tasting room with small service bar in left hand corner and plenty of communal tables about the room and a huge deck in front with lots mire seating. A dozen beers on tap, the 2 I had werevery nice. Also had some wings which were pretty tasty. Although the place was packed, service was quick.

It's an open venue with an outdoor porch that's at least 50' long. The staff is friendly, but the beer could use some variety and the interior a redesign. The food is good; that was a remarkably thick piece of chicken in the Nashville hot chicken sandwich.

Huge taproom with great views on the river. Amazing patio. Great beer.
