Visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Great location in center of town / Main St. Large attractive multistory early British / American style brick building. Outside are many tables/ chairs and fire pits. Inside is a high ceilinged huge space with @ half dedicated to bar/ seating and Taco station. Other @ half dedicated to Games room with nearby Burger station. You can order food and get a beeper to aleet you when food is ready. Once you set up your “ tab” with credit card…the “tab” is shared across bar and both food stations. Games room also has ATM and Change machine.
Today was a February Friday early afternoon. About a dozen people were outside at @ 3 tables. Inside another 2 dozen were seated in booths, tables and at bar. Atmosphere was busy with fairly loud music playing overhead , and people moving about. Service was friendly and helpful. All good but more restaurant bar like…nothing jumped out beer wise. Where I normally find a few beer people at or behind bar. Servers just took good care of customers, and customers tended to stick to to themselves/their own groups. No real “ beer” vibe. Beer selection was nicely diverse with 15 taps featuring 3 lager/pilsners/light ales; 3 fruity sours/smoozies; 5 IPAs and 4 malty dark brews. Mostly mid to lower abv but a DIPA and Barleywine were on tap today/bigger abv. There are also few taps for non-alcohol brews accompanied by various other selections (cocktails; boozy slushies, ciders, wines, seltzers and sodas). Something for everyone. I liked that some of the beers were interestingly creative eg a red ipa with juniper berries, coffee blond ale, chocolate orange porter and a smoked black barleywine. I tried 3 half pours and found the beers fresh and well made. My impression otherwise I’ve left in the Beer Reviews.
Food wise, I chose a Mole Chicken taco and a Beef Birria taco. Both were expensive (@$6 a piece); but excellently made, very tasty and very attractively built and presented. Birria had a very good consume for dipping. I also got an order of chips and salsa for one @$5. But order was very generous; the chips were freshly fried and tasty; and salsa was also both generous and tasty. I didn’t try the quesadillas, chili or nachos, but they both sounded good per menu. I didn’t check out burger station, but there were multiple kinds of burgers, chicken fingers, fries, etc that all sounded tempting. Again there was enough choice to probably cover most customers and ages.
The game room was top notch…an huge Arcade-like room with dozens of play stations Many traditional pinball machines; basketball hoops toss; air hockey; video games; enclosed booth video care racing; and more.
Overall I thought it was a nice stop. Something for everybody. At a busier time I think it would be a fun, busy place where any/all could have a great time. It’s not cheap, but what is in a place like Williamsburg or taxed like Virginia. The food is very good. The beer is a matter of each person’s tastes and experiences. I would only say that I have nothing beer wise to recommend.

Just off of the campus and downtown, this sprawling place is wide Open and airy. Long bar, low tables, front and back patios. Pretty vibrant. Food available via on site taco stand. Not a wide range if styles, but quality is good. Attentive service. Worth a stop.

Not sure how this has been missed on here as a PLACE I mean it is so close to the historic area there had to be some sort of BA that staggered in here....Regardless a large cavernous space with tables and booths-both inside and outside seating. While it is it's own space also empties into small "mall" building...decent line up sort of favoring IPAs but a very solid lager and coffee stout at the time of visiting. Food wise there is a somewhat permanent set up inside of tacos and all things in that vein-thats what actually took me back for a quick bite and beer. Found beers very good but pricey-come on $8 to $9 for a 16 ounce IPA? That's why folks drink at home.....I stuck with the lager and a lower ABV beer-I am far from cheap but this just smacks of something else. Plus Williamsburg has an 11% sales tax...Well worth check out for a quick beer and a snack. Beers were very solid-the pricing scares me.
