Collaboration with Alesong Brewing & Blending
Wine Barrel Fermented Brown Ale with Michigan Balaton Cherries. Bottle conditioned for five months.
A vibrant spark propels weighty yuzu and powdered Smarties candy on the nose —magnetic super watermelon, both juicy and charging. Remarkably bright with red berry-infused marmalade and seedy blueberry preserve in the sip. A mouthwatering acetobacter tinge draws a tingle on the back of your tongue in the close before a robust and memorable finish like a fat cab or zinfandel.

Burnt orange pour from the bottle, off-white ring. Lacto, wild funk, cherry, watermelon, lemon and vinous red grape in the nose. Taste has the non fruit flavors up front, barrel is surprisingly mild beyond some gentle vinous oak, finishes strong with the cherry leading the watermelon, lemon, yuzu, pear and mixed berries. Sneaky complex. Feel is sour and mildly funk, again barrel is gentle, acidity too, well balance but shows off the oddity of this one. Unique and creative, though a little bit all over the place
