Murky brownish orange body, full cream colored head. Bland yeast nose with a touch of bright clean oak. Taste is not much better, but has the yeast interacting with the oak and mild malt more, floral hop maybe. High carbonation for style, light bodied, wispy. Just a boring beer in a style that normally isn't for me

16oz can
date stamped 4.12.23
thanks to Ken for the beer!
L: clear golden body; foamy eggshell head
S: doughy malt, biscuit, noble hops
T: bread dough, biscuit, grassy/spicy/earthy noble hops, background woody-ness
F: medium body, pleasant carbonation, dry finish with more of a hop bite than expected but the wood aging seems to cut that edge nicely
O: nice take on a Mai Bock with some foudre aging that you don’t see too much

16oz can pours a deep golden yellow that leans to amber with a small cap of fizzy white head that disappears after some time. Smells of noble hops. Flavor has lots of bready and crackery malts and a very grassy hop flavor with a little bit of citrus too. Alcohol heat and flavor is small but present. Medium body with a low carbonation feel. Bitterness trails into a somewhat sour aftertaste.
Alright beer, but I prefer the less hoppy german beers.
