Dark in color, but not roasty. This beer transcends the burnt husk and replaces it with dark fruit, molasses, black currant, and toffee. We present this beer as an offering to Žemyna, who in the Baltic region is considered the goddess of the earth.

Foeder-aged Baltic-style Porter.

Canned 2/2/24; drank 3/23/24 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dark brown appearance.

A rough pour yielded big, noisy tan head; a thick curtain of lacing remained.

Brown sugar, dill & cream flavors in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Dill & dark chocolate flavors up front; cream & a bit of mint on the finish.

Every foeder beer I have from Hidden Hand tastes a bit off; usually a dill note that denotes maybe they should get a new foeders. This one is more enjoyable than most, but it's not going to make me start buying more than 1 can every six months or so.
