I am trying this beer off the tapper as part of a six sample "sword flight" whilst traveling through on my way up to Dryden for my son's exhibition SIJHL hockey games. The beer is good and typical of most copper ales.

16 oz can into a nonic pint glass.
L: SRM 10 Pours radiant rusty Amber color that glows, steady fine light carbonation, a thin eggshell white head that recedes to a skin, medium lacing with sheeting and light banding, it has some light sediment.
S: A lightly fruity note, a hint of raw cookie dough, caramelized malts.
T: Caramel candied malts, toasted cereal grains, a touch of yeast, citrus zest, confection sugar, distant brown sugar, pine resin, it has an orange halo. It is slightly rich, has a resinous linger, and is moderately pale.
F: Quite brisk, smooth medium bodied feel with a moderately broad center and a med-long medium-dry finish. Drinks like an IPA and is lightly sticky.
O: A real refresher. If you like Lagunitas type ales this one's right there. It's one of the better Pale Ales I've had. Very well balanced and lightly rich tasting. Truly old school. It is excellent to outstanding in its style.
