This is an unexpectedly excellent lager by Two Heroes. For the most part, their brewery typically makes those annoying Vermont IPAs. Their earlier attempts at lagers were unimpressive as far as I'm concerned. I am glad this one turned out truly excellent.
Billed as an old style all-malt Germanic lager, it truly delivers. The color is gorgeous rich gold compared to typical German style pale straw colored lagers.
The aroma is elegant yet rich. The taste starts out elegantly malty, just to make sure you notice the malts. But then a crisp and somewhat dry floral noble hop bite and that unmistakable lagering effervescence follows.
Truly a delightful experience.
