Star Route Brewery

Stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon, holiday weekend. Place was deserted. Storefront loccation in downtown Pocatello, can be accessed from the main street and the street behind. Plain interior, generic bar. Kind of looks like an old pizza place. Speaking of which, they do serve pizza there.About 8 taps. Flights available. Beer went downhill as I progressed through the flight. Couldn't finish the DIPA. First beer was poured through dirty lines, and I had to ask for a fresh pour. it was only slightly better. very disappointed.

another new spot in downtown pocatello, its blowing up here! its a nice space, an old school cafe sort of vibe, airy and open with the bar in the back, a lovely little patio space on the side, and plenty of room, its comfortable and slightly western feeling, absolutely nobody in there when i showed up on a weekday afternoon. the server didnt have much to say about the beers, seemed a little bored, kind of set a weird energy, but poured my beer just fine i guess. they had a small but unique list, and i was pumped to see some creative beers in here. i liked the pecan coffee amber quite a bit, not as an amber in terms of quality so much but because the coffee and pecan flavors are fantastic and robust. then i had a raspberry with that was so messed up in the fermentation that it was literally undrinkable, soapy and chemical to a crazy degree, cant believe the batch wasnt dumped, so clearly they still have some quality issues going on. i hope they get it dialed in, because its a great space and the beer ideas seem good, the execution just has to improve, straight up. i will check back in with them next time i am out that way, tons of potential but the beer didnt seem there yet, not even close...

Cool storefront brewery in the old town section of Pocatello. Spacious high ceilings and garage door opening to patio provide a nice cooling breeze. Large L-shaped bar seats about 20 with a dozen table about the room and even more outside. They have live music and food trucks in the patio area. 8 beers on tap, I had the Grand Apogee, which had the taste and feel of a barrel aged beer. They single single cans to go...
