Built with sherbet in mind, Company Values brewers take that notion of fruity, tart and creamy ales quite literal and weave in the actual fruits of raspberry, lime and orange for a taste that translates to holiday punch.
Muddy mauve and patiently rising with a frothy dense honeycomb froth, Convey Ideas carries the appearance of those fruity ice creams all melted and swirled together. A creamy and sweet scent carries the trio of fruits in a vibrant and radiant perfume that captures the essence of sherbet quite well. Sweet on the initial palate, the early maltiness is creamy, cakey and plush with vanilla cream and angel food cake.
As its sweetness persists, the fruit flavors dovetail nicely into the malts and allow for a fruity and sweet interplay. As the sourness of the underlying ale join the mix, the tangy acidity highlights a natural lime, lemon, apple and grape flavor that only intensifies the beer's fruitiness. Balancing toward the tart, the late taste shows a slight turn to dryness to provide a sense of refreshment and drinkability.
Full, plush and creamy, the beer's pillowy texture keeps the flavors of sherbet elevated although it limits the beer's refreshment. A brief and tart fruit afterglow has a quick sip coming back over and over again.
