Purchased this bottle at the brewery for their 1st year anniversary.
This is the base stout for some of their other anniversary beers. Aged in whiskey barrels but not overtly boozy, but warming. Smell and taste of licorice and dark berries. Some dark chocolate and a bit smokey. Poured a dark brown with brief beige head and some but limited lacing. A bit thin for an imperial stout but overall a very pleasant imperial stout.
