On cask at Max's today.
Light yellow with a dense white head, the retention is excellent, but surprisingly, there isn't much lace.
Sulfury, grainy with less aromatics than the Adhornberger that I had side-by-side with this. Mild sweetness with a delicate hop character, very wet earth like.
The palate opens with a grainy, caramel-like sweetness with some light bitterness. Soft and refreshing, there's a great hop character with a reserved bitterness. Fresh bread, delicate earthy hop character make for a great beer. Medium-light in body, with a soft, creamy carbonation, this beer is quite drinkable. Drying on the finish with a lingering grainy character, this is quite nice.
