Nice very dark brown, almost but not quite black in appearance with a large foamy light beige colored head that appears like seafoam as it settles and eventually dissipates.
Has an aroma of toasted nuts with slight citrus-like brightness on the end; kind of wish it tasted the same but it tastes mostly like smoke and char with a hint of oak and peat; the peat note phases between peat and root vegetables like carrot. I think this brew has a lot of promise but kind of falls flat in the flavor arena; it's not bad though, it would probably go great with a good burger or grilled meats! It's worth a try and could potentially be awesome with the right meal! :) It also gets a bit better after warming up a little bit
Mouthfeel is fizzy-sizzly, which makes the flavor dance on the tongue; I like it the effect but would prefer some more nuanced flavors to decipher to go along with it
Would I purchase or order this again? Possibly! This brew makes me believe that the brewery holds a lot of promise through innovation

Has a wee bit of a burnt taste, very heavy at the initial taste. But otherwise, smooth afterwards, not too bitter, and leaves a not-so unpleasant taste in the mouth. Id drink this again
