Treated as an imperial one, I poured this into a tulip. The appearance was a dark amber to brown sort of color with an eggshell white foamy head. Light sliding semi-foamy lace. The aroma had some root beer/sarsaparilla-like/somewhat birch beer notes up front. Light herbal to woody notes meddle with some pine and earth. Some nuts at the end. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side through the previously mentioned aromas. Birch beer-like/sarsaparilla aftertaste with a sticky malty sort of finish. The feel was about medium bodied with a decent sipping quality about it. Another over carbonated beer by these guys. Overall, though over carbonated, it didn’t seem to effect the aroma and flavor to me. I’d have again if I could get it.
