a neat beer, bright rose in color, electric pink even, but basically flat from the tap, no head on it at all, but thats okay, its a sour i actually want to drink by the pint, so the glassware that usually would be inappropriate for a style like this is actually appreciated this time. its clearish, bright, and smells like cranberry. there was some debate at first about whether this was their cranberry sour or hibiscus gose, the bar we had it at had one listed on one menu and one on the other, but the cranberry is immediately evident here, tangy and sharp, not overdone, but obvious in a good way, very festive this time of year. the kettle sour element is clean, lactic, but mild too, more drinkable than i expected it to be, not too sour at all. there really isnt a lot else going on, a light citrus note to the acidity and the fruit, thats about all, not much from the grain, hardly any hops here, and pretty quick finishing for being fruited. basic beer, but refreshing and pretty good, much better than other beer i have had from these guys, although i wish it had some head and some body, its almost like juice without it, or rather soda, as the carbonation is there. decent but not incredible by any stretch...
