A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short light tan head that left wisps of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of smoked peat are present in the nose. The smell becomes stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of smoky peat.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is all about the peat, both in the smell and taste, so it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly along the edges of the glass and faint chestnut brown + dark cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film covering a little more than 40% of the surface of the beer and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of smoked peat over the top of roasted + charred + chocolate malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Hints of earthy hops.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of roasted + charred + chocolate malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by just shy of strong flavors of smoked peat with light flavors of toasted oak. That is followed by light flavors of earthy hops. Light amounts of bitterness and roastiness but the lingering flavor is that of smoked peat.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Easy to drink considering the strength and definitely a slow sipper. Enjoyable. As someone that really enjoys smokey/peaty scotch, this beer is right up my aisle but I could see it being a bit over powering for people that are not fans or accustomed to those flavors and aromas as they are intense as the beer warms up.
