Appearance - The beer was almost black in appearance with little visible carbonation or head.
Smell - The nose was sweet with notes of cherries and chocolate.
Taste - The profile began with chocolate and Twizzlers. It trended toward the sweeter side. There were nutty notes and some sweetness from the bourbon barrels. There was just a touch of alcohol heat at the finish.
Mouthfeel - I found myself wishing the beer would linger longer, perhaps, with a bit more viscosity.
Overall - This is really well done
