Bohemian Breakfast is a big ol’ 12% Russian Imperial Stout with Maple Syrup, Cocoa Nibs, and Vanilla that we made with our good buddies at Whiskey Hill. This beer wants to be your start the day beer just as much as it wants to be your trusty nightcap beer. Think maple smothered chocolate pancakes in a glass, but a little better!

I tried a can of this beer at my line mate's place in St. Germain, Wisconsin whilst there for the Eagle River Pond Hockey Tournament. It poured a opaque dark with very thin tan ring head that did not leave any lace. The scent had nice roast, chocolate, vanilla and maple notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet maple malt base and subtle toffee, cocoa, and vanilla presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Shimmering black with some brown speckling and small head. Smell captures maple, semi-sweet chocolate and vanilla so well, with full roasted malt providing the coffee like earthy roast. Taste follows suit, here the roast is very strong up front, back end the sweet adjuncts dominate. Sticky, decently thick, yet drinks lighter for a RIS, smooth with great roast. Great debut!
