Can almost exploded in my hands when I opened it. Too much carbonation going on here. After I managed and cleaned the can's surroundings, I've poured into Mikkeller tasting glasses.
A: The body is purple and thick, much like a raspberry and blueberry mousse with an oat-based brew. The head is mid-way between pink and white.
S: The aroma gives away tons of raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and a hint of lactose.
T: This beer's taste is actually evolving through time. At first sip, the ending acidity was too high for my taste, resembling the typical fruited sours that place fruit acidity on acetic acid acidity (which is just too much for my palate). But after a few sips, that gripping acidity started to become more mellow and developed a more lactic acid touch that has smoothen out the end of the sip. Quite interesting as it is refreshing and very drinkable.
M: Body is medium high. Carbonation is high but not as high as you'd guess from the episode of opening the can. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Bitterness is medium-high and acidity is medium-high.
O: For a fruited sour, this might be the best ever I've had in a long time. This is not overly acidic and it's quite drinkable. Would totally have it again and I might spend more time looking for Ophiussa's beers.
