Served from a side-pull tap.
Pours a dark brown-to black color with an off-white head that measures slightly more than a finger. The nose has a mild roasted essence. I am not picking up any classic funky Belgian yeast notes on the nose, however. The Belgian yeast surfaces a bit in the flavor profile along with the same mild roasted quality from the nose. The body is much lighter than expected and this drinks like a 5% abv (or lower) offering.

On tap at the source.
A - Dark chestnut colored pour with dense, creamy off white lacing.
S - Sweet malt base with some toffee and dark fruit.
T - Follows the nose (go figure, right?). Sweet toasted caramel malt base with some dark fruit over the top, and ends on the sweeter side with a subtle amount of earthiness.
M - Medium body, light pricklies, and a little thin around the edges, ends wet at the tip of the tongue while the rest of the mouth is dry.
O - Very easy drinking.
