German-style Doppelbock brewed with cocoa powder and aged on cocoa nibs. Deep chocolate notes and a smooth dark malt flavor.

Served from a side-pull tap.
Pours a brownish copper color with over a finger of fluffy head. The nose has distinct chocolate notes. There is also chocolate in the flavor profile but it is not at all overdone. In addition to the chocolate flavor, there is also the definite presence of modestly roasted malt. The chocolate re-asserts itself on the finish.
This is a nice treat but definitely NOT a dessert beer. It is, in fact, everything that Sam Adams Chocolate Bock wants to be but cannot manage to accomplish.
