Black Ale
Daringly dark and deceptively smooth.

Served from a side-pull tap.
To start, this is not quite a Black IPA, but it was the closest style category available, so I selected it. The brewer calls it simply a Black Ale.
Pours a dark brownish color with ruby edges and a finger of head. The nose is definitely roasty but there is also the essence of damp cardboard in the background. Roasted malt is upfront but the flavor goes flat quickly and the finish is thin.
