Bottle purchased at the brewery
Dirty gold color with a mild chill haze. Small head that reduces to rim bubbles and some thin foam on top. Moderate number of spots and short streaks on the glass.
Semisweet caramel nose with a low-level floral hop aroma. Lightly creamy.
Drier taste but still with caramel notes. The hop is now more biting creating a moderate length aftertaste. The body is thinner than I was expecting (for this brewer, not for the style) and the carbonation is also lower than usual. There are earthy overtones in the aftertaste as well.

Pours a coppery deep amber coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits, sweet malts and pine. Taste is nicely balanced between a zesty hoppiness and a slightly sweet maltiness with aromas of citrus (grapefruit, orange) and tropical (mango, passion fruit) fruits and some light resinous pine notes. Bitterness is medium, but quite lingering. Lacks a bit more of a punch to be truly great, but still an enjoyable IPA.

I would drink this beer over and over. There is a dearth of craft beer in Berlin. It took a week to find this beer at Tiergartenquelle but it was worth it. The IPA is solid, not too dry. Pleasantly balanced and not over the top like so many US beers, which I love. Think a mild version of Victory's HopDevil.

Pours a coppery orange color with a one finger sized, froth head.
Smells of flowery citrus, orange and a hint of passion fruit, entangled into grass.
Has a very soft mouthfeel with a lighter body, while its upcoming dryness during the finish gets overpowered by toffee malts and a overly lively carbonation.
Tastes of cakey malts, a hint of leaves together with a lemon peak, followed up by toffee. Has a rock sugar peak to it, with no hops to speak of at all, only during the finish a most faint dryness becomes recognizable, adding a little depth to the malts.
Boring, overly malty and sweet, uneventfull with the hops just being a gimmick.

L:
-pours a slightly hazy amber with a medium to big, foamy, white head
-low to medium carbonation visible
-very small particle floaties
S:
-grapefruit,resin,pine,peaches,oranges
T:
-slight grapefruit,oranges,peach,slight resin,pepper
-finishes dry
-low to medium bitterniss for the style
F:
-medium carbonation
-light to medium body
O:
I found this fairly dull.Sort of a West coast IPA aimed at non craft beer drinkers, but priced at craft beer prices.
Reminded me of the Köstritzer Pale Ale, but that is much cheaper at 1,50EUR/500ml as opposed to 2,99EUR/355ml
