330ml keg in Das Lemke, Berlin (€4.80):
Medium amber with a few bubbles & a half cm, foamy white head & some lacing on one side. Pine & some grassy hops, grapefruit & a faint resinous hop aroma around the middle. Dry hops & pine carry over to the taste with a few floral touches & a little caramel. The body is about medium & slightly tangy, quite bitter toward the end & very slightly boozy too.

Bottle purchased at the brewery...
Darker gold color and absolutely clear. Moderate sized initial head but it never completely dissapates. Random large spots left on the glass throughout the tasting.
Golden, lightly toasted malt sugar initial smell. Subtle floral hop in the background. The smell is nearly perfect for it's "west coast" roots.
On the taste, the malt is dry and quite brief. The hop bitterness does dominate even before the swallow. Richer body but with decent carbonation. The hop has a mild earthy tone. The swallow is bitter and the aftertaste is long, but I would not place this in the category of "too much" hop. Still the ending is harsh.

Pours a deep gold coloration with a large, frothy, white head. Smells of grapefruit, caramel and pine. Taste follows the nose with a hoppy citrus flavour (grapefruit, orange), a little bit of caramelly malt and some pine, followed by a lingering, medium bitterness. This is Lemke's take on the classic west coast IPA and it's not bad, but I've had better, even from Germany.
